Ellen Practice Manager	I am the office manager at Midway Animal Hospital. I have worked at Midway since April of 1985. When I started, I worked in every area of the hospital. I enjoy the everyday challenges a big hospital like Midway brings.I have taken many practice management, behavior, and nutrition courses during the past years. I also attend the North American Veterinary conference each year to keep on top of all the new developments in the veterinary industry. I am married with two children and five step daughters, many grandchildren. I have five Golden Retrievers, one cat, and a Green Winged Macaw. I do Golden retriever rescue in Citrus County, which is very fulfilling to help these great dogs find forever homes. I do agility, obedience, and field work with my own dogs. I have obtained top level titles in all these sports. Midway Animal Hospital is a state of the art veterinary hospital where we treat each pet as our own. I love the staff and veterinarians here. I am very proud of each and every person that works at Midway. We are a big family that has great team work. I have come to be friends with many of our clients through out the years.

Valerie Front Desk Team Leader and Compliance	Time Employed: October 1999 Special Interest: I have worked in all areas of the hospital. I miss surgery, but I like helping the clients now. Every day is different. I truly do enjoy Midway and the people. They are my extended family. School/Degree: I graduated from Lecanto High School. I also attended Troy State University and East Stroudsburg University. Family/Pets: I have been married for 5 years. I have two sons, Connor (3) and Chase (10 mos.). I also have three very independent cats, Daisey, Sybil, and Myrtle. Our new puppy, Tucker, a mini Australian shepherd, is a welcome addition. Interests/Hobbies: I enjoy spending time with my family, playing golf, fishing, shopping, scrap booking, and gardening.

School/ Education: Special Interests here: Talents/ Hobbies: Family and/or pests: Husband of 34 years- stepson and stepdaughter, 2 step grandchildren, a son and daughter-in-law and a new granddaughter. Anything you want to say about yourself: I have 2 horses, 2 cats, and 2 dogs.
Stacie Room Technician Team Leader	Time Employed: November 2002 Special Interest: Wildlife Rehabilitation School/Degree: Attended School of Craft College (MI) Equine Arts and Science Program. Key courses in Animal Health and Equine Psychology. Family/Pets: Married with no human children. My husband Mike and I are owned by 2 Dobermans, two cats, two horses, two goats and two chickens. Interest/Hobbies: Main interests are horse back riding, boating and being in the company of much loved friends and family (including my Midway Family).

Danielle Veterinary Technician	Time Employed: December 1994 Special Interest: Aggressive animal restrain, blood draws, and emergency care. School/Degree: I was a volunteer at Midway and they hired me. I also went to college to pursue a degree in a different field (EMT, law enforcement). Family/Pets: One child and one beautiful, male Black Lab/Great Dane mix. Interests/Hobbies: Anything outdoors- hiking, biking, swimming and four wheeling.
Lyn Room Technician	Name: Lyn When did you start: 06/04 Which area of the hospital do you work: Surgery School/ Education: Special Interests here: Dental prophy and oral Radiology. I also help Carrie with Orthopedic surgeries and prep, learning how to take orthopedic X-rays, learning the different views and techniques. Talents/ Hobbies: Family and/or pests: My fiancé Shawn, one son named Ethan, and a stepdaughter named Nichole. I also have a Beta Fish ‘Frankie’, A hamster ‘Hami’, and six cats Libby, Sniffles, Jake, Meesa, Kumba, and Skid.

Graduated in 1997 Special Interests here: Diagnostic ultrasound, and dental procedures Talents/ Hobbies: Gardening, cooking, taking walks, and fishing Family and/or pests: Husband Jim, Son Brad, and daughter Deanna Anything you want to say about yourself: I enjoy my job tremendously, and I look forward to every day challenges and opportunities to make the surgical experience a good experience for all pets that come through our door. I like to give (show) all pets the compassion and gentle care they deserve.
Carrie Surgery Technician	Time Employed: February 1992 Special Interest: Orthopedic surgeries with Dr. Nayfield School/Degree: Some college. Family/Pets: 10 dogs (3 lab mixes and 7 mini Australian shepherds), 2 horses, 3 cats Interests/Hobbies: Horseback riding, anything outdoors, and traveling.
Alisha Surgery Technician	Name: Alisha When did you start: 01/04/04 Which area of the hospital do you work: Surgery School/ Education: Graduate of Crystal River High School/ Academy of Health Careers Special Interests here: Dental Procedures, Both dental and Standard Radiology, and basic surgical procedures. Talents/ Hobbies: I love to read, write poetry, Travel, and be involved in my Church. I’ve done missionary work in Africa and plan on returning again. Family and/or pests: I live with my Father and stepmother, along with my younger brother. We have 2 English mastiffs named Juno and Isis, 1 Great Dane Mix named Maverick, a beagle Chihuahua mix named Chance, and two horses named Shorty and Bart. Anything you want to say about yourself: I enjoy my Midway Family, and couldn’t have asked for a better job. The experiences and knowledge obtained here will be with me forever. We are a very close knit group, and our team work is amazing. Every day is a new adventure and I always come expecting to learn something new.
Al Surgery Technician	Time Employed: October 2006 School/Degree: J.P. Taravella H.S. & Enrolled at CFCC for Pre-Nursing Family/Pets: Parents, my brother. My cat & I fly solo. Part time custody Interest/Hobbies: Working several years in Animal Medicine to include emergency/critical care, surgery, in/out patient & hospitalization. Additional training radiology, dental, laboratory, and aggressive animal restraint. Anything sports (basketball, football) especially Miami Dolphins & Miami Heat. Science fiction, working out, landscape design, and going to church.
Monica Receptionist	Time Employed: February 2005 Special Interest: I love helping everyone throughout the hospital in all departments. My specialties include versatile customer relations, excellent pet care, and attention to detail. Family/Pets: I have been with my husband for 5 years. We have one child and one yorkie puppy named Guinness. Interests/Hobbies: On my time off I enjoy doing the normal Florida activities such as going to the beach, swimming, and boating. I spend most of my free time with my family and my friends.

I have a 20 year old daughter and a 15 year old son. We have 4 dogs and 3 cats. Interests/Hobbies: Fishing, archery competition, and gardening.
Kristine Patient Care Coordinator	Time Employed: April 1998 School/Degree: High School Graduated 2003 Family/Pets: Asia, choc. lab. Bently, yellow lab. Maui, chi. 4 cats Zap, Moe, Sissy and Princeton. Interest/Hobbies: I have lived in Florida my whole life and love it here. My 2 children ages 3 and 4 months consume most of my time. So I enjoy every minute teaching and exploring what life has to offer with them and my family.

Denise Receptionist	Name: Denise When did you start: 01/08 Which area of the hospital do you work: Reception School/ Education: Special Interests here: Since the Veterinary Reception field is so new to me, every area of the hospital interests me! Midway is a fantastic place to work and every day is interesting! Talents/ Hobbies: I love the outdoors, nature trails, and I enjoy making home made greeting cards. Family and/or pests: I have a wonderful husband named Mike, and 5 adorable cats.
Megan Receptionist	Name: Megan When did you start: 05/08 Which area of the hospital do you work: Reception School/ Education: Special Interests here: I would like to become a Veterinarian Technician, so everything here interests me. Talents/ Hobbies: I like painting, sewing, and photography Family and/or pests: I live with my fiancé Jake, our 3 dogs Zero, Gruber, and Lola, our 2 cats Spook and Bruce, 2 snakes and a bearded dragon.
Sami Receptionist	Name: Sami When did you start: 02/08 Which area of the hospital do you work: Reception School/ Education: I graduated high school on Long Island in 2006, and then went on to complete 2 semesters at a community college. I then moved to Florida to continue my educational journey, which I begin in August. Special Interests here: I love to learn new things at work, and I am always learning. I love meeting all of the interesting animals and their owners. It’s a whole lot different then the animal hospital I worked at in NY, but I love it. Talents/ Hobbies: I love to write, draw, play pool, and bowl. I’m a sucker for NASCAR, dirt tracks, and local races. And of course I love spending time with my critters. Family and/or pests: I have 5 dogs, 11 cats, and one fat rat. I left behind one dog, and 2 cats on Long Island. They’re happy being up North with Grandma. Ciji Veterinary Technician	Name: Ciji When did you start: 09/04 Which area of the hospital do you work: Rooms School/ Education: Graduate of Lecanto High School/ Academy of Environmental Science Special Interests here: Placing Catheters and Drawing Blood Talents/ Hobbies: Fishing, boating, and 4 wheeling Family and/or pests: I have a husband, 3 big dogs named Dualie, Diesel, and Shifter. I also have a Spaled Boston Terrier named Bogger, a bearded dragon named Takeo, and a saltwater fish.

Interests/Hobbies: Anything with my family.
